About the owners

With a background in design & over a decade of experience in the wedding industry in Central Texas, Prairie Chapel Place was founded by The Williams Family. After relocating their family of five with three young children to the Waco area in 2023, the Williams sought out to create an elevated venue & experience to serve their town. Falling in love with the charm & uniqueness of this rural property on Prairie Chapel Road in Crawford, that happens to be located just down the road from the 1,500-acre Bush Ranch, the dreaming & planning to create something very special commenced.

"We set out to pursue a modern approach, and not just build another barn venue. Versatility was really important to us. We wanted to create spaces that would feel intimate for 50 guests, but spacious enough to comfortably host & celebrate with 300. We designed opportunities to utilize beautiful draping to close off or define areas in the new venue, and to host a rehearsal dinner in the studio or al fresco on the peaceful patio. We wanted to create both indoor & outdoor ceremony options, and both be beautiful & intentional with altar platforms. We wanted our clients to have options to enjoy our classic rental experience, or the luxury to spend the night on the property to host multi-day events & it feel like a retreat. To make the space their own, but also the option to enjoy our inclusive options. High-end yet approachable. Old meets new. Modern yet timeless. Black tie or less formal. Any color palette. Any season. Perfectly versatile."
